Thanksgiving - FDCA Style

Cade and Luke both had Thanksgiving feasts at school this week.  I am SO very thankful that their school is 2 minutes away from mine and that I have the luxury of attending all of their events.  Luke's feast was on Wednesday.  He was so sweet and I could tell he was happy to have his mommy there for lunch.  He sat with his school BFFs Satch and Maxwell.  They were so adorable!

Cade's feast was Thursday.  His class put on a play and sang Thanksgiving songs.  It was ADORABLE!  Cade was too shy to say his line and froze when it was his turn (as did many other kids), but he sang the songs and looked precious!

We are so very thankful for both boys' teachers!

In case you're wondering...this is a picture of a turkey.  :)

I Love You

There are no sweeter words in the world than hearing your child say I love you.  I remember waiting for Cade to say it (on his own) for what seemed like forever.  And then, one day out of the blue, they just do!  And it makes your heart stop for a brief second.  One night last week after putting Lukey to bed I said, "I love you Lukey Bear" as I left his room...as I always do.  BUT, this night was different. He said, "I love you, Mommy." and my heart smiled and my eyes welled with tears.  He says it back to us every night now and it makes me giddy every time.  I love you Lukey Bear!

Boo!

We had a great time celebrating Halloween this year!  We had fun decorating the house, watching Halloween shows, carving pumpkins, hitting a fall festival, visiting the pumpkin patch...and of course - trick-or-treating! Cade was a football player and Luke was Super Lukey.  Luke didn't quite understand that he didn't get to immediately eat the candy that was given to him at each house, but once we got past this little hiccup it was smooth sailing for our little trick-or-treaters!  Thanks to the Burrous family for having us over again this year!  Cade also had a Halloween party at school.  His class sang a couple of songs, enjoyed a treat, and went on a candy treasure hunt.  What a perfect Halloween!
