Happy 4th!

When you think about it, the excitement of the 4th of July pales in comparison to some of the other holidays, but somehow it's earned a top spot on our Favorite Holidays list!  This year, we celebrated by making making decorations and hanging them around the house, going to see fireworks with some of our favorite friends - Ali, Olivia, and Isabel, going to the neighborhood parade, watching daddy's fireworks show and grilling out at home.  It was a quaint family celebration, as many of our holidays are, but just perfect for us!  Happy Birthday America!

Water!

Whether we're swimming in it, spraying it, sliding in it or watching it come down from the sky...water has played a major role in our summer fun this season.  The boys have always loved going to the pool, but we took swimming lessons mid-summer and their love for swimming really grew. One of their favorite things to do is play with water balloons in the back yard and they still enjoy playing in the water table and running through the sprinkler.  Cade suggested we have a Water Day a couple of weeks ago so we set up water stations around the back yard and had a blast!  Now, if I could only find a way to get them to DRINK more water we'd be all set!
