Summer is Here!
The boys both had amazing experiences at FDCA this past school year. Cade grew so much in the Cherry Tree room with Ms. Braniff, Ms. Wynn, and Ms. Woodruff. He loved his teachers, his friends, and his classroom and we felt so blessed for a school experience that perpetuated his love for school and all that it entails. Luke, too, had a great experience in the Apple Tree room with Ms. Tricia and Ms. Sabrina. The end of the school year is always bitter sweet. It's hard to say goodbye to friends and teachers, but summertime is pretty sweet and we are excited about the extra family time summer affords us. So far, we're off to a pretty lazy start. The boys requested that we spend our first few days at home - wanting to paint, play outside, and do science experiments. :) I can already tell that there are parts of summer that will be much easier now that the boys are a little older - they are a bit more independent and slightly more self-sufficient; however, there are some things that might be more challenging - they've been arguing a little more than usual which is somewhat new, but we have the whole summer off so there isn't much we can complain about! We are all looking forward to our summer adventures together!
Strawberry Pickin'
These boys love strawberries! And picking them yourself seems to make them taste even better. :) We had fun hunting for the biggest, best strawberries at Washington Farms again this year. Yum, yum!
GOOOO Braves!
The boys had a great time at the Braves game last week! It was the first time we've been to a game that they actually sat in their seats and watched the game for an extended amount of time. Their favorite parts were doing the Tomahawk chop and eating ice cream! Go Braves!

Happy 6th Anniversary!
This year we celebrated our anniversary family-style! We went to Main Event for fun and games and then to dinner at Dominics. I am the luckiest lady around to call Todd my husband and could not be more thankful for the endless blessings in our lives. Cade and Luke are our daily reminders that our life together is just about perfect.

Spring Break 2017
Last week was spring break! It always falls at just the right time and serves as the perfect preview to summer. This year, Cade, Luke and I took a road trip to see GJ and Randall Pop in VA! Todd had to travel for his job so he couldn't come with us. I was somewhat nervous about how I would handle the backseat AND drive such a long way, but my prayers were answered and the boys were PERFECT the whole way there and back. The boys loved exploring the woods behind GJ's house and they had a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny! We also dyed eggs, had an Easter egg hunt and visited a museum. The highlight of the trip was travelling to Williamsburg and going to Busch Gardens. It was a long and tiring day, but well worth it. Thank you, GJ, for a memorable visit!
Right before both boys' REAL roller coaster ride! They loved it! |
