At the end of summer we slowly transitioned Cade onto formula so that I wouldn't have to keep up with pumping at work again this school year. He still nurses twice a day, but otherwise drinks formula. Getting him to actually take the formula was quite an ordeal and I was so thankful once he began to drink it regularly. Everything was going along very smoothly until Cade began throwing up. It started about 3 1/2 weeks ago. At first we thought it was a stomach virus, but it never went away. He has been throwing up once or twice every couple of days since then. It's very sporadic and we can't quite determine the cause. We've been to the doctor 3 times since this started. The latest advice is to switch to a hypoallergenic formula. AKA liquid dog food. The stuff is WAAYY worse in taste and smell than regular formula...if you can even imagine that. We tried for a couple of days, but Cade was not having it. Today he began taking a sensitive stomach formula and we've got our fingers crossed that this will help. To top it off, he caught his first cold this past week. Poor guy was sneezing, coughing, and had a runny/congested nose. Even had a fever for a day or so. We're hopeful that the worst is behind us with all of this.
Still pretty happy through it all! |
